E³.schematic provides
a comprehensive, Windows® based, solution for the design and
documentation of today's complex electrical power and control systems.
It is a state-of-the-art proven application, based on common component
databases and symbol libraries to ensure a unique representation of
circuit diagrams, producing accurate, error-free schematic with
simultaneous manufacturing and support documentation.
With E³.schematic you can increase your design productivity
using the most advanced ECAD engine that links schematic design, panel
layout, terminal diagrams, cable block diagrams and wiring design tasks
in a single design environment.
Because E³.schematic offers integrated design tasks along with
the consistent Windows® graphical user interface, you can maximize
engineering design skills and minimize training costs.
E³.panel is completely
integrated with E³.schematic and the ideal solution for the placement
and wiring of devices in panels and on mounting plates.
E³.panel uses the circuit diagram data directly from
E³.schematic and, as a result, can immediately process all
modifications made to the circuit diagram. In addition, modifications
made to the panel layout and wiring will automatically be reflected in
the circuit diagram. Wiring lists output from
E³.panel, provide exact wiring pathways and wire lengths as
well as the necessary attributes for manufacturing. E³.panel integrates
the logical circuit diagram and the physical panel layout/wiring an
integrated ECAD system.
E³.cable provides a comprehensive, logic oriented, Windows® based,
solution for the design and documentation of cabling for devices and
automobiles. With the help of E³.cable it is possible to create block
diagrams under logic control, which provides an overview of all
electronic and electrical elements. The connection of functional
modules can be achieved using single wires, shielded or twisted cables
and bundled cables.
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) can be connected with
backplanes. In this case, E³.cable reads the PCB design data of
connectors and writes the backplane schematic directly back to the
board layout system.
Through various views of cables and connectors on different
sheets, E³.cable provides for the definition of assembly drawings or
signal tables in addition to block diagrams. After modification of any
part, all the various views of the modified object are updated
automatically.
Many automatic functions prevent the user from making errors.
E³.cable selects the right connector automatically or replaces the
connected component after the modification of a connector type. The
copilot displays, online, at the cursor position, if there are
collisions or highlights appropriate objects for the actual command.
After the definition of wire or cable attributes, e.g. wire
color, diameter, shielding, length, insulation, stripping details,
strip length, material number and assembly tool, E³.cable provides the
option to use cable types that were pre-defined in the component
database. The powerful graphic features make very detailed
documentation possible. Graphical descriptions can be bound to
individual objects.
These graphics will be rotated or mirrored along with the
bound object. Because E³.cable offers integrated design tasks along
with the consistent Windows® graphical user interface, you can maximize
engineering design skills and minimize training costs.
E³.formboard is for the creation of nailboard displays required for
producing wire and cable harnesses, making it possible to create
connector tables automatically, graphically display manufacturing and
displayed lengths, apply automatic stretching and compressing to
cables, as well as rotate cable branches.
As with all other modules in the E³.series, the displayed view data
of an object in a project with E3.formboard is always consistent with
the schematic and additional documents.
E³.logic is a complete
and open CAD solution for the creation of circuit diagrams used in
electronic design. This modern application is based on a common
component and symbol database, ensuring the consistent display of
circuit diagrams throughout the product's entire life cycle.
E³.logic permits different design teams to work in parallel and
together with the proven layout system CADES-G/BLS, makes it possible
to design circuit boards from the initial schematic through testing.
Unlimited graphic functions allow for detailed documentation.
E³.fluid is a complete
and open CAD solution for the creation of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and
Process Diagrams. E³.fluid permits different teams to design, in
parallel, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or control schematics, and
electrical circuit diagrams, for machinery and plants. Different design
teams use a common database, so it is possible to use common components
that are able to cross-reference each other, in the different
schematics. An example of this would be a solenoid (valve) in the
hydraulic schematic, whose magnetic coil is displayed in the electrical
schematic. This way redundant data can be avoided.
